US Optics Rail mounted swivel anti cant device????

Hi,

I am preparing to take a long range rifle course that goes out to 1,000 yards. I am in the process of accumulating some accessories. Just bought a Cross Tac rear bag.

So I was all ready to buy the above captioned anti cant device, and than I read a couple of poor reviews on Midway USA. A couple of people said that the device goes out of level depending how much torque up apply when mounting it to your picatinny rail. Another person said it also goes out of level when you adjust the vial.

Can anyone chime in hear? I am using a scope with a 35mm tube so I don't think the tube mount is an option unless US Optics will make me a custom piece. I also want something that works with flip up lens covers, so a device which mounts at the 12 o' clock position is out of the question.

My course is 5/13 to 5/15/11 so I don't have all that much time.

Suggestions?

I did a little more research. Vortex makes a tube mounted anti-cant device for a 35mm scope.

I guess I should mention my scope is an IOR Valdada 3.5-18 x 50 FFP. I should also mention that I shoot lefty and I will need to mount the device so the bubble is on the right side.

So my questions are:

1) Is there enough room on the scope tube to mount this device. I will be using the IOR rings that come with the scope.

2) Is the device reversible?

CB, I would suggest you call US Optics and talk to them. The have new version of their level coming out very soon. I have 3 of their levels and sent them in for a free replacement to the new version. US Optics is a great company with outstanding customer service. I highly recommend them.
