Useful or Gimmick? Vortex/Hornady Bullet Camera

What a colossal waste of a hundred bucks if it is real. Now if it gave data like MV along the entire trajectory I might be interested but this just seems stupid. I hope it is an aprils fools joke.
 
i can tell you with almost 100% certainty this is a joke.

not only does the technology not really exist to compact a camera down to the size of a bullet, and affix it with a power supply, and a transmitter, and make it robust enough to survive the force of being shot.....for $100.

that bullet is going to be spinning at several thousand RPM.......that image would be a constant blur.....also, time of flight is going to be fractions of a second.....

True all of that. I guess they got me but in my defense aprils fools is tomorrow so I wasn't even thinking that.
