Using a factory remington stock on a custom build

Im building another 243ai a buddy talked me out of my savage. its gonna be my main all around hunting/target shooting gun 700 action schnider david tubb 7.5 twist barrel. Ive ran mcmillian and bell and carlson and hs for quite some time. I have a factory remington stock in dtacs camo i like the look and its light. The gun shot good from the factory. The smith will bed it etc. my question is will i get maximum accuracy with this. Or is it stupid to pay to have a gun custom built and have a $50 stock. At this point its saving me at least $300

I doubt you will get maximum performance from an injection molded factory stock. Different story if the factory model is BC or HS aluminum bedded. I personally wouldn't put a custom barrel/action into the IM.
