USMC Unertl

I'm curious to know how to know if a USMC Sniper Unertl is the real deal and an approximate value. I may be interested in purchasing it from the owner. I know we have a resident expert that can likely tell me the history of this particular scope.

That's in pristine shape. Its legit earlier without the USO modification, there is no "manhole cover" on bottom of the turret block. CMP auction prices are around $3k, give or take a few hundred. Here's one I bid on serial number fairly close (1523).
