Any input on holster options ( pref. tactical ) for an HK USP .45 tactical would be appreciated. Seems everyone and their brother make one for the HK compacts, but the full size models are SOL.

Are you looking for a softsided nylong rig or a formed holster specific to that model? I have a USP 45 Tactical, and Ive run through a few holsters for it.
Safariland makes a thighrig for it. Safariland 6004-93 (93 is the fit code, IIRC) Avail in black and coyote.
London Bridge, Eagle, Tactical Tailor nylon thigh rigs will all fit it as well.

Give us a little more info on what you are looking for in the holster. I assume you want a duty holster?

Thigh rig, prefferably a formed one....I really like the Blackhawk stuff, but it looks like I am SOL for this gun as far as their products.

Then, Safariland 6004-093 is probably gonna be your best bet.
You need to wrap the gun in a sock, soak the inside of the holster with silicone from the auto store, and stuff the socked gun in the holster to stretch it a bit to break it in. Let it sit like that for a day or two. Then, draw and holster a few times to get all the loose stuff out.
Then, Safariland 6004-093 is probably gonna be your best bet.

i've had a blackhawk 40qd31bk "omega vi-l assault holster" for years now for my usp tactical. the holster is set up to be used with our without a light. the pistol fits good with the light or without. i don't know if they even make this model anymore. i just looked up the model number in an ancient blackhawk catalogue i dug up the other day.
