We need some help improving the Over the Edge Range at the North Springs Shooting Range. June 8, gate open at least by 8:00 am. If you shoot you will need to pay your own $7 daily range fee to the office.
This will be a permanent part of the range we will be building. I know, the county should pay us to do it. This if for those that just like working for nothing. We will start out with six shooting stations with their own target array to be able to run six squads at the same time out to at least 350 yards. At these close ranges it will be all positional shooting from the barricades we build so I hope somebody brings some imagination. We can definitely make a variety of ways to shoot from each of the six shooting stations.
And of course we will be able to try them out. We'll see who gets the best score on the trial run. We will have the computerized targets and running man targets working you can shoot all you want. We can shoot the 1000 yard range too. I'll have some coffins set up there.
There are only a few people that have said they would help so far. If we have 8 or 10 at least, it would make a short work day and and a nice play day.
What we will be setting up will be shot across the canyon, not down the canyon so we don't have to shut down two of the archery ranges. Although if we get permission we could shoot the 1200 yard target I set up down the canyon.
I'll be there from Thursday the 6th through Sunday the 9th for anyone that can make it other than Saturday.
Dress for the weather, bring gloves and maybe sledge hammer, chain saw, old back pack to haul targets etc., binoculars, spotting scope, gps unit, hiking boots and a get-r-done attitude. I've been gathering all the materials we need for the last few months, most of it donated. Getting the targets welded up right now.
Try to let me know if you can make it.
Thanks,
Clint
