Anyone have issues with the UTM glitching to a white screen or the top half of screen having white and black bars. Then you have to take batteries out and restart to get the problem to go away?

I've had start up issues with all my BAE cored devices ... VERY RARELY ... like maybe 1-2 times per year each (UTC-x, Skeet, Patrol, Mk3 60mm, SNIPE).

After start up and first nuc ... image 100% static/fuzz. Usually a restart clears it. But otherwise, I've found that if the batts are low, then I need to change the batts.

I have not strictly experienced what you are describing, with a bad start up ... followed by a remove/reinsert of the same batts required to clears it.

What is the frequency of this occurrence ?

What batts are you using ?

Do you have a multi-meter you can check the volts with ?
(on this point, I've been using titantium innovations c123 for about 4 years now ? But recently broke into a new box of 200 and I "swear" these are a lower voltage and multiple units are behaving differently. I am going to try "real" surefires and see if the behavior is different)

But trying different batteries might be useful for diagnostic purposes.

Are these "glitching" moments correlated with recoil events ?? I had one of those with the UTC-x and I was devastated, I thought my unit was dead ... but an advisor suggested a procedure to adjust the copper "battery holding wings" and that solved the problem ... and after 2 more years zero recurrence of that issue.

    I’m using sure fire battery’s.
    The unit isn’t weapon mounted.
It doesn’t happen on start up.
    It happens randomly.
It was about once every 5-10 uses but last time I used it it happened 5 or 6 times.
I did change to new batteries didn’t seem to make a difference.
