Pastor Gattis took out his wife, step-daughter, and the step-daughter's live-in boyfriend on Thanksgiving Day. I suppose there were dynamics and pressures that proved to be too much, even for a man of the cloth.

No jokes here. Just the observation that murderous madness is everywhere under the surface, even in the most apparently placid and staid of situations.

Waiting for the end of year stats. But I am pretty sure crime and especially violent crime is still on a downward trend. It will never get to zero. I understand tragedy, with that being who I am, I am emotionally stunted. (when I feel anguish over something I can't imagine what a normal person feels).

After getting over the "that is fucked up" feeling I always go to what were they thinking. I would be really interested in the thought process going through someone's head. Same with the guy who shot the Texas LEO, the 15 year old that was just captured at the Canadian border who might have killed his grandmother in florida, and the douchebag who thought a 9 month old would make a good flesh light. all these and thousands more should rot in hell. Honestly that is a mild punishment in my opinion.

It might sound crazy but I would ask, WTF did they think the outcome would be. I am a good person at heart don't judge me otherwise. But I have had thoughts of "what if" just for examining certain scenarios in my head. I am a pretty smart MOFO most the time, way above average IQ in most cases (sans language). And any "what if" (robbing and bank or armored car normally) never leads me to Mai Tai's on a quiet beach. They always lead to my being someone's bitch in prison. Normally do the robbery thing when watching a movie and think "okay how would you actually do it".
