Hey guys
My buddy just bought a large collection of rifles .I'm going to see everything on Wed. Included are a SVT scope and mount . How can you tell if its original or repro? Also is a Kollmorgan MC-1 scope, A M-84 and what looks like a M-81 or 82 with M1c mount.
Any ball park values on all items?
Thanks in advance.

Scope case

This is pretty neat. It’s for a Leatherwood ARTII scope. Which was a camming scope that worked a bullet drop compensator into a side knob. They worked, sort of. But we’re not happy in jungles, mud and sand. Which is where they are mostly used!

I have in on an M1A and it is fun to tinker with. Not super accurate/repeatable but period and gun-appropriate.

Actually never seen a case like this. Mostly they sold in civilian markets because after the original Leatherwood got a handful of .mil orders, they just weren’t up to snuff. Perhaps the ARTII was submitted to attempted to get contracts, thus the military rugged case? Don’t know. Someone here will.

The whole Leatherwood thing is an interesting rabbit hole to go down. Good ideas… but simply got overtaken by long travel turrets and better designs.

All your stuff is pretty cool! Folks here will have more info, I’m sure!

That looks like a winner!

MC-1 is supposed to be a fantastic scope.

I still have my civilian Kollmorgen sitting idle.

Maybe it would be a candidate to throw on my M1A.

No reference in the reticle kind of has me thinking better for a 10/22.

I have my suspicions if I had machinists skills I could turn this particular one into a clone with all but the clicker for the audible/tactile clicks.

Sadly I have no skills.

If you dare unscrew the two screws on an elevation or windage turret cap on the Kollmorgen I would love to see what is under there.

The MC-1 is on gunbroker now, same pics as in posts #13&14 above.....looks like a value was determined.
