Rifle Scopes Vari X-III and alumina caps

I just bought a leupold Vari-XIII 3.5-10 x 50
and would like to know if I can install the leupold alimuna end caps
Or do these fit only on newer models

Flip Up? 59055, 59050. Unless you want to buy the set, then it's 62995.

I have a 4.5 - 14 x 50 VX III and keep a 2" shade mounted.I use the screw on style to keep dirt from getting into the shade / objective. Unscrew it when I pull it from the case and leave it there. They do not really lend themselves to be used in the field. My take.
