Short Notice, However there is a Varmit shoot at Mcdonald Sportmens Club in Mcdonald, PA this Saturday 4/25/09 at 8:00am. If you live in the Pittburgh area it is open to all comers! Targets shot at 200 thru 500 meters with 6 shots fired at each range with 5 scoring!

You name it guys was shooting it! I used my Savage 10FP in 308 with a Mark 4 Leupold. Others shot 6BR, 223, 6PPC, 6.5x284. Factory class and a custom class!

It was extremely windy 15-25mph from 8 to 9 o'clock! I won the factory class with 154 out of a possible 200. Wind was a killer! i think 182 won the custom class at they was shooting a 6.5x284. I kinda got screwed because I shot the 200 and 300 meter targets first and the wind was not as bad then. Oh well! It was fun and I won enough to cover the entry and pay for my reloads!

Most all the guys shot of the bench using rest and rear bags. A couple of us including me shot prone using a bipod and a rear bean bag. Pretty much your choice how you wanted to shoot! Any rifle any caliber except 50BMG they would not let me use my AR50.

Good shooting man, that 500m looked tough. Those would make nice targets to printout with 8.5x11" printer paper...
