Rifle Scopes Vector Optics

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

"I cant fine any kind of information other than Chinese made..."

That should tell you enough right there. If it does not, then consider what they sell for. Do they actually work? Probably. But considering what you can buy fairly inexpensively in Japanese made scopes (SS, Vortex, Sightron, etc) why would you want to take a chance?

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

I have been looking at some of these also. The reticle looks the same as the Wonder Optics on a couple models. Could it be that we have wandered across the source of Wonder Optics parts supply? Maybe one of them would make a good range scope or a rimfire scope.

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

Victory, My question was regarding the "VECTOR" Optics brand, not the "VORTEX" brand. I will say that the Vertex in the link is a very nice scope. I just wanted some other opinions on the Vector brand being how little information is actually available. Thanks for sharing

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

I've got a Vector Optics 1.75-6x on my 16" Spike's Tactical .22 upper. Cost me $100. It's fine for plinking out to 100 yards, but I sure wouldn't use it for anything more serious than paper plates and pop cans.

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

Hello, I have been using a Vector 6x25x56 on my 308 and for about 6 mos. It has held up fine. The glass isn't as good as it could be but the ffp focus is working great for me. i've had 2 SS scopes and the glass was better in them but not powerful enough. I am giong to try the Vector 10X40X56 ffp next.

For what they cost, if you don't like them you can use the scope as a spotter.

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

I set up an account with them at SHotShow and ordered a bunch of scopes and red-dots. I've been testing them since then.

Frankly, the 10-40 and the 6-25 are not keepers. The 6-25 is not clear and after the 10-40's failed I abandoned them as a stock item.

However, the FFP 4-16 and the 1-4 are quite nice. I've tested them on many platforms and all work very well. His mini red-dot is also very functional and works without any issue.

Hope this helps.

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

Well..........I dont think Im going to waste $300+ on a name that isnt even established. I have 2 SS's, Millett TRS-1 Gen4 and am happy, but in the meantime, having previously owned a NF NXS, the NF F1 is the next step for me.

Thanks for the input

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

I own both 25X56 and the 8X40X56 Vector optics scopes. the 40x power is mounted on my savage f bench. It's zeroed @250+ yrds and so far after 200 rounds, the scope is still perfectly tight The turrets are large and have a reasonably crisp tick when adjusted. I have not had the opportunity to shoot past 400 yrds as of yet but ,I feel the mechanics and ability to return to zero after say, a 800 yrd shot are promising. Based on my adjusting to inside my zero shots and back out to 400yrds were surprisingly good. I don't have my gun locked down in a vise to test the actual perfection of the mechanics but i'm still on paper at these varying distances. Any more than with in a 12 inch square at 400 yrds for me is astounding. Mostly the guns fault but together with this scope, hopefully i will be able to achieve the same accuracy at 1000 + yrd distances. I need both pieces to work correctly together first. Then I can start working on the 3rd factor-me. Sooo. I know their ain't no Santa and generally, well almost always, you get what you pay for in all these choices of equipment. MAYBE Just maybe this scope will perform for me and for the less than $350 of investment Hell, I haven't made up my mind if I realy like the whole gun thing. I just want the skill of shooting long distance. I was never good at faced to face confrontions. IT CERTAINLY IS NOT JUNK! I can assure you of that, as i have owned a Millitt 25X zoom and 2 SS fixed scopes. The general feel and smoothness of operation of these 2 manufactures is equal for the most part to the Vecor. But, if I hit the jackpot and buy a Nitte4se 42X wow, i will have a point of refferance as to how truly wonderful and fine that scope is. Or not?

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

Vector/Sunclear optics are the OEM maker for everyones favorite "Countersniper" scopes, AIM scopes, UTG and possibly Milett's DMS/Primary Arms 1-4X24.

I bought their illuminated ffp 1-4 off ebay a couple of years ago for $179 and it's been on my ARs and my FAL and held up just fine for many 1000's rounds at the range. Would it be my choice for fun in sun and sand ? Nah. Don't know why it's ffp as it's just a duplex, but it's held zero ( as far as my shitty shooting can tell), the glass was better than my DMS and the eyebox was about a billion times better. No exaggeration.
So maybe a bit shit, then, but it's coming from the same place that's making scopes for other "made in china" brands so it's likely not worse.

Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????

ive had their arbiter aka dms-1 for about 6 mths. been on my ar for about 1k or so. moved it to my stg-556 to play with. Was a hundred $less than a millet branded version but works great.

I bought their Taurus and Continental 30x scopes. One on a 6.5CM, and the other on my Savage 338LM. Great glass, bright and clear, holds zero, turrets work great and track nicely. Great value for the price in my opinion.
