Re: Vector Optics = Garbage????
I own both 25X56 and the 8X40X56 Vector optics scopes. the 40x power is mounted on my savage f bench. It's zeroed @250+ yrds and so far after 200 rounds, the scope is still perfectly tight The turrets are large and have a reasonably crisp tick when adjusted. I have not had the opportunity to shoot past 400 yrds as of yet but ,I feel the mechanics and ability to return to zero after say, a 800 yrd shot are promising. Based on my adjusting to inside my zero shots and back out to 400yrds were surprisingly good. I don't have my gun locked down in a vise to test the actual perfection of the mechanics but i'm still on paper at these varying distances. Any more than with in a 12 inch square at 400 yrds for me is astounding. Mostly the guns fault but together with this scope, hopefully i will be able to achieve the same accuracy at 1000 + yrd distances. I need both pieces to work correctly together first. Then I can start working on the 3rd factor-me. Sooo. I know their ain't no Santa and generally, well almost always, you get what you pay for in all these choices of equipment. MAYBE Just maybe this scope will perform for me and for the less than $350 of investment Hell, I haven't made up my mind if I realy like the whole gun thing. I just want the skill of shooting long distance. I was never good at faced to face confrontions. IT CERTAINLY IS NOT JUNK! I can assure you of that, as i have owned a Millitt 25X zoom and 2 SS fixed scopes. The general feel and smoothness of operation of these 2 manufactures is equal for the most part to the Vecor. But, if I hit the jackpot and buy a Nitte4se 42X wow, i will have a point of refferance as to how truly wonderful and fine that scope is. Or not?
