am moving to VA here at the end of the week, and am wondering if anyone knows any good ranges to go shoot, or just open stretches that i can lay out some targets on

Ahhhh. Quantico. Search Quantico Shooting Club. Also the Fun Shoot at Ray's, I didn't make it last time but some friend's did and really enjoyed it. I will be there this time, just a heads up, it is about 5 hour drive from quantico, but it will be great fun I'm sure.

Quantico has some of the best ranges around....Not quite on par with the NRA Whittingtom Center, but good, and everybody seems glad to see you. As mentioned above quanticoshootingclub.com will get you located. Look out for a mean sucker, though....John Murphy

I see that you are active duty so you can join Quantico Shooting Club at anytime. Most rec fire takes place on WTBN Ranges 1 and 4. Also every other month there is a great 3-gun match. The club loves to have as many active duty members as possible. One thing I can say for sure, you will see some really cool rifles on the line.

I am 30 minutes away from Quantico and I have a private club in king george, Va it is a gold mine to shoot at barely anyone ever their to mess or bug you.
You join up get the gate code and use it all you want no baby sitter and simple easy to follow rules.
Not to mention it is cheap!!

Got to Quantico yesterday, wasted no time in signing up with the shooting club here on base, thank you to all that lent their 2 cents, if any other want to chime in please do
