I'm tired of buying Range finders that range half of what they advertised.

The other day I was shown a Vertranix and was able to range a tree at 2800+ yards, I was impressed.

Regardless of price (I was told they are $2000) I'm gonna get one.

Problem is, I forgot which model, their web site list the PLRF, 10, 10c, 15 and 15c.

Which one: I want guarnteed at least 2000 yards, understanding I'm old so I'm not going into combat, I'm not gonna "snipe" anyone, but I want to be able to range ACCURATLY farther then my rifle will shoot.

I don't hunt past 300 yards so it will just be for playing around, maybe a PR match when I find them that isn't to phyical for a 65 year old man.

I just got the Terrapin from Alex at EuroOptic...and I got a range of 2974 yards out of it, yesterday. I'm impressed!!

Light weight and very simple to use. And getting ranges in excess of 1.5 miles! Worth the money.

Thanks guys, the Terrapin was the one I was thinking about. Guy showed me his and I ranged 2800 +, it will do what I want quite well.

Also got mine from EuroOptics. They are well worth the money Kraig. I have used Geovids and Zeiss and both were great within their limits but always pissin' me off when I needed them most. Not so with the Terrapin.

Here is a nice molle case I found for it and a Kestral:
