Still an awesome watch!In 1989-1990 I was stationed in Geneva.
Friend and I went in town to buy watches.
He bought a Rolex Submariner style watch. I think it was about $2700 or so.

Great watch at the time because I was doing a lot of hiking in the Jura and liked the altimeter feature.

Still just a quartz movement. $60 movement with a $1940 case.
I would have been smarter to buy the Rolex.
i think it said he got that much of a discount. not that he paid that much.
