Course description: For shooters who have had at least a basic pistol AND carbine class either from Vickers Tactical or any other accredited instructor.

Topics covered include the following: Handgun & carbine safety, stance, zeroing for iron sights and optics, sight alignment and trigger control. Familiarization with their carbine includes field stripping and maintenance. Other subject matter that is covered includes reloads, presentation, strong side & weak side shooting, shooting positions, use of cover, and introduction to different skill drills including dry fire and bullseye shooting. Malfunction drills and shooting on the move as well as transitions. Timed fire drills and evaluations based on class skill level.

There will be a strong emphasis on accurate shooting in this course. Do not expect to just throw rounds down range and call it training. Regardless of your situation, every round fired is a liability and under the stressful situation requiring lethal force, you will not rise to the occasion, you will revert to the lowest common denominator of your training.

The shooter will leave this course with a firm grasp on their strengths and weaknesses as well as drills to help themselves improve.
