sold $2300 shipped. This is a replica Colt 607 rifle as used by Army Special Forces (Green Berets) and MACV-SOG in Vietnam. It was the fore-runner of the XM-177, CAR-15, and Colt Commando. This gun uses many original Vietnam era parts. The upper receiver is an original Colt M16a1 in original condition. The bolt carrier group, charging handle, tear drop forward assist and other parts are original Colt and have been left in their original condition. All the springs are new manufacture and the trigger group has been upgraded with JP competiton springs and hand honed to give a crisp 4.5 lb. trigger pull. The staked buffer tube has been upgraded with an enhanced power buffer spring. This gun functions 100% all the time...you can bet your life on it. The handguards are the early large triangular type. The 4150 chrome moly barrel is chrome lined with 1:7 rifling. It is 12.7 inches with an XM177 flash hider and grenade ring pinned and welded to ATF specs to bring it to a legal 16.5" length. The XM177 flash hider replaced the Colt moderator on some 607"s as shown in the photo's below. This 607 replica has the correct flat front sight base, no F marks, and flat Delta ring. The grip is original Vietnam era surplus. The complete gun, with scope and 20 rd magazine, weighs 7.3 lbs. It has an overall length of 32 inches with the stock collapsed and 34 inches with the stock extended. The gun comes with a new in box Brownells Colt retro carry handle 4x scope with ballistic turrets calibrated for 55gr to 62gr 5.56 ammo. The gun comes with a 20 rd magazine and a 30 rd magazine. The upper receiver is in original "Battleworn" condition. The gun has been custom Cerakoted in a proprietary finish to match the upper receiver.
