So I've mentioned this before in the movies section but I think it would do better here.

Search for Ian McCollum in Amazon Prime. You'll get days of videos on all sorts of weapons, most vintage war rifles. He picks a lot of good topics, is very thorough and there are no other videos like this I'm aware of on TV. Make sure to check on the ones on clandestine weapons and such, REALLY cool stuff you won't see elsewhere.

Anyway, I always think of you guys when I see those videos. And if you think you are or know a gun nut, trust me, you don't. Not like this guy.

He's always got a lot of interesting stuff, as well as insight. One instance was the Remington Model 8 that he showed once. He gave a good account of it and explained why it wouldn't do well as a military rifle.

I went to go check out his videos on Prime, turns out they are just his Youtube videos thematically combined into episodes. So good if you are a new viewer of his and haven't seen any of the videos before but if you are a watcher of his then it is the exact same content. If you want the same content and don't have Prime Ian's YouTube is Forgotten Weapons.

It's about next to impossible to go back and do a piece on a LOT of the stuff he's covered over the years. Many, items that haven't been seen out of collections in decades. It's only because he's done such a good job on so many of his videos that he got the opportunity to do some of those. Also, stuff he's done a piece on, pre-auction, that won't get seen again for decades because it sold to collectors that aren't willing to let the public see it again.

So, what we're going to have to live with is the videos that we were lucky enough to have had him do a piece on. Many pieces that were very unique.

Yep, been subscribed to forgotten weapons since they were a lot more of a small-time channel. They've really grown. Check out their InRangeTV channel on youtube as well.

My favorites are when they do the 2-gun action matches - ie Garand/1911 vs FG42/P38, BAR/1911 vs FG42/P38, Lee Enfield/Webley vs Mauser/P38, etc.
