Rifle Scopes Viper PST Gen II (5-25x) - Stiff illumination knob?

I have a new Viper PST Gen II that has an illuminated reticle controlled by the dial/knob on the left side of the scope. This knob requires two hands to turn, whereas all of the other turrets spin just fine. Is this normal, or should I reach out to Vortex?

Every knob my on 2 PSTs are stiff. With that kurnling on the illumination knob it feels like a cheese grater. I think you will find its pretty normal.

My Gen II PST 5x25 did the same thing, when it was NIB. Before I installed mine, while watching tv, I held it in my hands and rotated the knob, back and forth, for about 15 min.. Now it rotates with one hand, but, still requires a good grip on the knob. Mac
