Rifle Scopes Viper pst shim zero stop

Out of curiosity, how close to any given zero will the shim zero stop system on the PST get you to a desired zero. I'm just curious if you can get the zero stop within 1-2 mins of where you want it or if each shim adds more like 4-5 minutes.

Mine turns well past the zero with all the shims inserted that would fit. Less than a full turn past so it's still helpful.

So it basically keeps you from going more than 1 turn past zero. I'm planning on putting mine on a 20 minute rail so I'm hoping I can get it closer. Any idea how much elevation each shim takes out?

I set mine up so it would go a little over 1 mil past zero (4-16x w/ a 20 moa base) I could have gotten it closer had I wanted to.

Did mine the other night, didn't give it too much time, could dial about 2mil past zero.

Rc if you put in another shim could you have gotten closer to zero or would that have been too much?

I can dial down past zero 1.8mil. Not sure if another shim could be shimmied in there, the last one was pretty snug, the manual said something about not going overboard forcing shims.
