I'm thinking of ordering a Volkmann 1911. I would appreciate any feedback on quality, fit, finish, felt recoil, etc. vs. other high end 1911's. Thanks!

he makes some amazing stuff, i have held some pistols from the best in the world and his fit and finish is really really good. Another one to look at is www.combatprecision.com

I've only held and shot one Volkmann. It was strictly a high-cotton experience, both in execution of the weapon and its accuracy. If you're looking to have something bespoke, of which you can truly say that it is yours and unlike any other, Volkmann has few if any equals.
