Re: volquartesen trigger for 10/22?

It's an OK trigger, 2-2 1/2# but a waste of $130 over putting a PowerCustom hammer/sear kit in for $60-70.
I consider any amount over $70 a waste unless you jump to the $300 level and get something of completely different design from the original Ruger design, like a KID.

Re: volquartesen trigger for 10/22?

Years ago, when Tom built my rifle, the trigger was a little over 2#. I bought a couple of his hammers to put in my son's rifles, and they brought the trigger pull down about the same.

One of these days, I'll invest in a Kidd trigger.

The pull weight is just under 3lbs. To me not worth the money either up the enty and go with a Kidd trigger or just replace the Power Custom sear kit which will give the same trigger pull as the VQ. I did it my self and just very carefully filed down slight where engagement of the sear occurs. It lessen my trigger down to under 3lbs.

This is what I have heard everyone say that has shot both. The Kidd Trigger is an excellent trigger. I really like the one that I have.
