Anyone Handle one of these ? I Like how the barrel is actually threaded into the receiver ! I will probably start shooting a couple local matches with it so accuracy has to be there as well. I know a lot of guys are running the vudoo or CZ but are they that much more accurate ?

One word, Yes. CZ is great Vudoo is perfect. I have a VM-22, CZ 457 mdt manners stock, Vudoo Apperation. They both are much more accurate than my VM-22. I have placed starting 2nd place and now constantly first at our local 50 yd benchrest With Vudoo. I shot sub .3in max at 50 out of the box. I have a Black Rain with a Proof barrel 22lr. It shoots much better then the VM-22, meaning .35 inch avg at 50 vs +.5 with the VQ-VM. I'm giving mine a chance to "polish" a bit. It's shaving lead off rounds and building up in the chamber. It has a Bentz or varaition of chamber that's supposedly tighter than most 10/22 factory chanbers. If it won't keep sub .5 inch as advertised it's going back to the factory. I had a VQ Summit, similar story. I would not shoot benchrest with either VQ unless it improves (the Summit is gone). Your Matches may not require same accuracy, I only know about benchrest.

My Volquartsen VM-22 has been sent back to the factory to be inspected for the lead shaving during chambering. Lead is building up below the chamber and seems to be impacting accuracy. When I spoke with service they were aware of this issue.

If anyone is interested I will post the repair results.

Having both VQ and Kidd guns I would choose the Kidd over the VQ if you want to run it in PRS style matches. IMHO the Kidd is a more accurate gun. I am not saying VQ is junk but the Kidd guns are more accurate.

I just got my VM-22 back from service. The receiver lug was replaced with a new modified design. I think this is the piece that aligns the magazine. It where a normal V-block is but this model has the threaded barrel into the receiver. I'll be testing it later this week and will post. It came with a test target holding 0.5 inch groups at 50 yards using Eley 10X. I have some ordered but will try SK and Lapua as well as CCI STD Target low cost.

Granted it's all hearsay but I've heard on various forums that the VM-22's are hit and miss on accuracy, it seems to be the biggest complaint and that the strait pull action isn't as smooth as some of the others. I've been reading up on these for a long time now cause I'd really like to run one, just looks like fun, but the accuracy reports are just not great for the most part.

That said, I've also read on forums I believe rimfire central, that someone had talked to VQ about being more accuracy focused in the Summit was to stick with the 416 steel barrel, and avoid the lightweight option.

I've really wanted one of these but the hit and miss accuracy reports are a deal killer, if there's 1 lemon gun in a stack of 100, I would pick it 9 times out of 10 :)
