Rifle Scopes Vortex AMG UH-1. VS Red dot

For somebody who has used red dots (mainly cheap type) but does have a Vortex Venum.
what is the difference between The AMG UH-1 and just a plain ole small red dot ?

Since the AMG UH-1 isn't out yet, there's not much solid info. It seems to be a holographic type sight like an EOTech. I've emailed Vortex about the window size and its pretty big, relatively speaking.

If you want to check out a cool red dot, the Holosun 510C is pretty neat and not too expensive.
