Vortex Diamondback spotter

What will be the primary use? If it is sheep hunting, go high end, if not they most likely will be fine. I have the angled eyepiece, its a good unit for the price. It holds it own, at distances greater than 1.5k to 2k you don't have the clarity that the high end optics have, for hunting(my primary use) other than sheep, its fine. I am glad that I saved $2k; put that toward another GAP.

I would like to hear how these compare to the Konus 20-60 x 60 that are so popular for Highpower beginners. I have the Konus and am wondering if the extra $150 to $200 for the Vortex is worth considering an upgrade.

I think you'd be perfectly happy with the diamondback it's a great value. Give cameraland a call they had demo ones for 300 bucks.

To get a spotter that is 'better' you really need to spend damn near a grand. A kowa, or a vortex razor HD for example. That's where the ones that are real quality, with a good image, the ones you can buy and use for a long time start.
