I currently have a Leupold GR Compact spotter in 15-30X50 that serves its purpose as a light weight "ok" spotting scope. Digiscpoing is near impossible as the zoom ring is the eye piece, thus rotating the Novagrade mount each time you zoom in or out.
I am considering the Gen 1 Razor HD in 20-60X85. I like the dual focus knobs, the size and weight is reasonable, and they can be found NIB right now for about $800.
Is this too good to be true? Should I be considering other options from other manufacturers? I love my Maven binos, but I am struggling with $2000 + on a spotting scope.
Convince me one way or another.....

I have the gen II razor 27-60x85, and for me I never go beyond 40x, and if I do go to 40x it’s only for a short time because my eyes get strained, 30x seems to be the sweet spot. I decided to go with the gen II because the gen I had problems with the focus knobs freezing in the winter. I hunt in montana so I couldn’t have that happening to me. The gen II has proven reliable and great quality, maybe made in Japan helps in some way vs China like the gen I.
