Never disappointed with the comments, especially this one. Read'm, they're awesome. Even a Snipers Hide plug in there regarding some drama some of you remember from the long long ago. The shooter strikes me as a bit iffy if'n ya know what I mean. Especially when he starts out saying he's looking behind him 20 yards and coincidentally finds the scope at 20 ft. Hmmmm. Wanna bet whether it was either the wrong cartridge for the rifle or it was a reloading issue. It's one or the other.

Still doesn't know where bullet is that was lost when trying to find distance to lands...

i dont want to be the buzz kill here, but i think it makes vortex look foolish...
if they have enough money to give accountant boy anouther scope for that, i think they are charging too much money for their scopes...
bullshit...
hokey commercial, and a bullshit reason to give a new scope away, unsound decision and and makes them, by way of self publisising this, look like they are self stroking themselves, what do they take us for...
take the guy who came up with the idea to make this dumb assed commercial out, and put him on the unemployment line...

The VIP warranty states- essentially- our fault, your fault, no one's fault. If it breaks we will make it right. This commercial is about the warranty. Most people won't accidentally break their scope. Hell, most people will never have an issue with their scope. But, how many scope owners can say "Some dumb shit blew his scope up and they covered it with their warranty..." I see the phrase bantered around here quite often... "Bomb proof." The Vortex VIP warranty is apparently bomb proof.

I highly doubt the first thought he had was "Its a good thing I have the VIP warranty."

I am much more interested in what caused the failure. Being that he said he was sighting in at 100 yards, my guess is that he forgot to remove his laser bore sighter from the muzzle. I have a feeling his dad and buddy were a bit skeptical of him as they stayed 20 yards away. How many people go to the range with someone and stay WAY outside of casual conversation distance?

I think it is good advertising for Vortex and for the few idiots like this that they have to send a new scope to, at least they don't have to hire an employee to decide which scopes to cover and which customers to deny. That employee would probably cost more than their cost for a few scopes.
