just received an e-mail from Europtics advertising this scope. It appears to be the same as the EB-2C reticle except the numbers re on outside like the 7's. I can't find any mention of it on Vortex site, ski PST-5257. Anybody have any experience with this? Attractive price but .........

The numbers are on the outside and the center is a solid crosshair and not open. Its a really good reticle.

Just bought it so now I wait.

Please update us once you get it. One thing I noticed is that the reticle detail on the eurooptic site makes it look like only the main crosshairs are illuminated. The horizontal lines below the main line are black. That could be a glitch on the web site. I'd be interested if all of the lines are illuminated.

I can’t remember for sure. I prefer when the whole tree is not illuminated. If illumination is actually needed, the more that is illuminated the more distracting it is.

My first long range scope so I don't know what I like or don't like yet. The beginning of a long journey for me.

I've said this probably a dozen or more times on this forum: I believe the PST Gen II to be one of the best bang-for-the-buck scopes out there. I have one on my 300 PRC, and it has been working for me out to about a mile. I like the Razor Gen II better, but then it's 2x the cost.

Only the cross hairs are lit (not the whole tree). It is a great reticle . The EBR-2C with those numbers on the inside, to me is simply a design flaw. The EBR-2D has that corrected and I prefer it.

How does the pst gen 2 stack up against the midas tac? It would be for a .22 and wondering if the pst gen 2 is worth the extra cost over a Midas tac?
