Vortx Viper HD 5-25 vs Athlon Ares BTR Gen 3 4.5-27

Looking for input in these two scopes. Vortex Viper HD 5-25X50, Athlon Ares BTR Gen 3 4.5-27x50. Does anyone have any experience with either of the two?
Primarily used for Elk hunting, but some occasional PRS as well. 300 prc rifle.

I'd lean vortex as i've had them and used them for a few years now. have you considered the lht from vortex? i might lean that direct for a hunting rifle.

Hahaha, really just long-range recreational activity. I can't afford to do that a lot.

Yup there are a bunch of firefighters on here. Got to represent! Even though I am retired now but still volunteering to stay in the game. lol

I locked on to hunting, zoned on the prs part honestly. i'm glad we have a similar perspective here.
