Looking at getting a pvs 14, I'm new to it as a buyer, used basic stuff when i was in. Anyways, I figure if I'm going to do it I shouldnt try to not pick pricing. But the vyper setup with WP from see the night is 3k for thin filmed white, and 3600 or non filmed white. The tnvc is 3500 for thin filmed white, and 4k for nonfilmed white. I dont know specifics or definitive differences in tubes, but any help or comparison thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Full blown disclaimer, I’m no expert and I’ve delt with a sample size of 1.

I have a vyper14C unfilmed and I feel like it’s a great deal.....prior to tnvc rolling out the 10 year warranty. With tnvc coughing up a warranty like that the juice is worth the squeeze to buy from tnvc in my mind if I were to do it all over again. NOW that being said the vyper has been trouble free and an absolute blast to run around with. I also just purchased a green thin film from the PX for about 1/2 the cost as the vyper and it’s damn nice....will make a great loaner for the wife and clients.

Ultimately the decision boils down to vendor support. Tnvc has an impeccable reputation and with the language in the new warranty it’s tnvc all day if I could go back in time and do it again.

Thank you for the kind comments.

We also have instituted a life time warranty on all our housings we build. All our TNV systems are built in-house and do not rely on a 3rd party to build anything for us. This helps us control all QA along with handling all warranty issues in the unlikely event. We never have to tell our valued customers "well we don't build these here, so please send it back to the manufacturer for repair or you can send it here, and we will send it out". We took all that pain and suffering out.

To the OP, feel free to PM me here, be glad to chat with you about our systems. I give my cell phone out a lot around here. :)

Thank you for the continued trust with all your NV builds.

And this is why TNVC received my business in the past, and will continue to receive my business in the future (once I scratch up enough coin for some DTNVGs!).
