Shit, broski. They build villages around UN food distribution points, which are oddly close to national borders. The local ethnics have never lived there, ya know, because no natural water sources, but now they do, because UN drills a single manual water pump for 3 gorillion tax dollars and supplies lots of flour (these folks have absolutely z-e-r-o husbandry knowledge/skills. The 2 now-closely residing different ethnic groups have totally not hated each other for roughly thousands of years, by the way. The UN would never foment local disturbances! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!

USAID was wasting 250,000,000$ a year where I am. That has stopped... guess what happened? Life continued for all the regularlocals........., but the UN amd EU are pissed because they had to cut staff, salaries, and logistical luxuries

Last time I was there the locals arrested 2 kids for killing their grandmother, pulling her teeth out of her head and planting them and watering them with her blood. They wanted to be rich and hoped to grow ivory like the witch doctor told them they could.
A goat was in jail because it was a man who was a "shapeshifter" and had raped a woman. They were waiting for it to change back.
Our lovely partner force, the Ugandans, had kidnapped a woman from the local town and forced her to have sex with a dog for their enjoyment.
The locals would walk around with such bad venereal disease that you could smell them 50m away when the wind was right.
I could go on, but those folks in that picture have managed to build 2 nice mud huts and aren't actively murdering and raping each other, so they are fucking geniuses compared to most in the region.
My Africa experiences have left me with undying contempt for everyone who derives their culture from that region, no matter how far removed.
