Appears things have gone semi-hot in Sudan. Couple pax jets blown up on the tarmac, open fighting with jets and bells and technicals

US Ambassador is sheltering in place.

Nearly a continuous state of war since 1956 independence

Should we expect to lose another parasite, I mean ambassador and a few good men?

It will drive the State Department, UN, MIC and CFR crazy to see a war kick off and not get invited.

I'm guessing a "small, temporary peacekeeping force" to be deployed by the end of summer, if not sooner.

Not that I'm cynical...

When European powers bring stability and security this does not happen . Left to self rule ? Rwanda , Congo , Sierra Leone , Libya . And yeah Libya was controlled by a Dictator but he brought stability .
Not excusing the theft of natural resources by Europe . Just saying they tend to kill less of each other . Oh yeah my bad . South Africa the exception to the rule . Sarcasm son .

Some politicians actually talked about getting UN Peacekeeping troops in Chicago

They wouldn't have lasted long, I believe

Just some context on who is fighting whom

The Sudanese Rapid Support forces that are run by Sudanese service of Inteligence and Security , took on the goverment

Sudanese Rapid Reaction Forces/Rapid Support Forces are armed formation parallel to the Sudanese army, estimated to number up to 100 thousand.

They were recruited largely from the militias of the Arab tribes who fought on the side of the government in Darfur and beyond.. For the most part, these are infantry in pickup trucks originally conceived to support the operations of the Sudanese army in the fight against various rebel groups, but under the control of the then Sudanese service intelligence and security.

They were quite actively gaining strength and influence among the Sudanese intelligence and law enforcement agencies, and they were increasingly independent in their operations.

Actively took part in Yemen on side of Saudi Arabia ,Sudanese military contingent for combat operations against the Huthis was scooped in the bulk from the Rapid Support Forces, at the peak up to 40 thousand Sudanese participated in the war of the Saudi coalition against the Yemeni Houthis. At the time Sauds paid Sudan about 3billion $ for their participation in Yemen

Sudan leads Africa in the cumulative number of coup attempts, at 15 and counting.
The two generals united in a 2021 coup to take shared control of the country.

Basicaly its these two going at eachother

The 'ursurper' Abdelfattah Dagalo on the left ,Abdel al-Burhan Sudanese general that is the de facto ruler of Sudan,on the right .

''❗️ Leaders of the rebel Sudanese Rapid Reaction Force met with "special envoys" from the US, UK and Norway just 48 hours before yesterday's military coup attempt.

Sudanese air force warplanes carried out a massive bombardment of a huge camp of the rebel Rapid Reaction Forces in the Salha region, south of Omdurman.

The positions of the rebels in Port Sudan, on the coast of the Red Sea, were also subjected to attacks from the air.
It was in this area that the construction of a Russian naval base was planned.''

Looks like the perfect place to spread democracy. A smallish force to stop the fighting and establish the government. Followed by some security forces to protect the outer settlements, build some schools and hospitals.

This came up in my feed today. Covers Sudan in the first half.

Internet makes it harder to hide small wars in third world countries

It is a shithole.... has been for about .....Forever.
Last time I was there, it was a shithole..... still is.

Fighting in Africa is as normal as dogs sniffing other dogs butts......

It is the normal cycle of power there. Fight for power, get power, exploit power, loose power, repeat.

It’s such a popular pastime - even their American relatives practice it here in the states!

Do they have any oil…….or maybe rare earth minerals?
The red sea. Shipping choke point through the suez canal and a large portion of the nile river.

Its about control of trade routes.

Like the Panama canal and mississippi river system.

Don’t want the Russians building a naval port there.

Oh yeah this has been going on for a long time. Both clips are from the movie Charlie’s War based on the true story of congressman Charlie Wilson back in the 80’s.

In the first clip Congressman Charlie Wilson and Gus the CIA operative are celebrating arming the mujahideen and pushing the Russians out of Afghanistan. They go outside and Gus (CIA) tells the congressman we ain’t done yet we need to build roads and schools so we are not leaving Afghanistan.

The next clip you see congressman Charlie Wilson in a committee meeting selling other congressman on “we only need a million (not a billion) for school construction in Afghanistan.” The others laugh and call him the congressman from Kabul.

Once the CIA has their foot in the door for “nation building” they don’t ever want to leave.

Probably too early for cigar and coup attempt no.16 on the books. But it seems the Toyota Club is holding the short end of the stick

''The official representative of the rebel Sudanese Rapid Reaction Force announced his defection over to the Sudanese armed forces

"We support a political process that will lead to a real democratic transition and free and fair elections in Sudan," he said on behalf of the security forces who defected to the military authorities.

The forces of the current government are gradually equalizing the situation in clashes with the rebellious special forces.

The coup is on the brink of failure.''

I reckon with Ukraine's shit show , the money for ''migration management'' by the Sudanese RSF dried up.

''Follow the Money: EU Accused of Funding Sudanese Militias in Migrant Crackdown''
RSF allegedly terrorizes civilians across the country, including in Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan. In northern Sudan, they are using arms intended for warfare to keep migrants from crossing the desert en route to Europe.
EU set up the Emergency Trust Fund for Africa , guaranteeing more than $400 million for the Khartoum Process ‘to respond to the challenges of irregular migration and displacement and to contribute to better migration management’.''

It seems Saudia airlines might need couple of new planes.

*Thanks to Charlie and cabal , some 40 years of resources were invested into Afghan war (Soviet and American) and last i checked Taliban are even more radical than Muj in the 70's , so i guess money well spent.

US Embassy Convoy Comes Under Attack In Sudan, Ceasefire Crumbling

Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed on Tuesday that a US diplomatic convoy came under intense gunfire in the capital of Sudan following multiple days of fighting between the military and a rival paramilitary group amid a struggle to rule the nation.
Blinken in statements issued from Japan called the attack, which included at least 100 rounds fired on the US embassy convoy according to international reports, a "reckless" and "irresponsible" attack and called on both sides of the raging conflict to uphold the safety and security of American diplomatic personnel.

He confirmed that none of the Americans were injured, and that the convoy came under fire despite clearly bearing diplomatic plates and a US flag.
The attackers are believed affiliated with the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Khartoum, especially given assailants from the same militia were likely behind a prior attack on the EU ambassador within his own residence.
US ambassador to Sudan John Godfrey wasn't injured in the rare incident, nor was he traveling in the US convoy when it came under fire.

Outside players mixing in:

Libyan warlord Haftar(by the way is a US citizen and long time CIA asset) sent planes to support RSF(Rapid Response Force)

Egyipts Al-Sisi sends planes to support SAF (army). Not surprising, given that the RSF had previously captured Egyptian troops.

Chad said it disarmed 320 Sudanese soldiers who arrived in the country on Monday.

Always wanted to fly into ja-booty, just to say I did. Times when they arent warring is what's news worthy. Yawn.

Even the Chinese are smart enough not to want the place. Besides, isn't the African continent splitting in two? Split is not far enough North and not soon enough.
