The warthog was designed around this gun. It shoots a 6,650 grain bullet at about 3,500 fps. It also will shoot them at over 4,000 per minute.

The biggest bullet in the picture is the one it shoots.

The other picture is the gun with "something" next to it to show its size.

When I was stationed at ft Benning a local hunter was killed when brass from an A-10 hit him on the head from 2k feet up...

Ohhh really? Because last I checked the GAU-8 retains all of the brass in the ammo drum to prevent it from entering the engine. Nice attempt on the BS story.

Is the testing pad at E.AFB still there, down from the Enviro chamber?
Do they still close the road while static testing that, pop gun?

I work with these bad boys nearly every day... spoonin' 30mm never gets old!!

Oh and not sure how he would get hit from 2k feet either was he on the firing range or did the pilot fly down open the canopy and chuck one out at him?
