Now I want to get this clear right off the bat... I'm not the most knowledgable person when it comes to computers, so please bear with me! lol

Last month I bought a new CPU as well as a new monitor... My question is, what do I need to do to get the picture clear when I put it on full screen???

Is there anything I can do? Or do I have to deal with a small screen if I want to get a nice crisp picture???

The CPU is a HP with windows 7, and the monitor is a 23" Samsung LED

Re: Watching DVDs on my computer... Question

The CPU hardly means anything for watching DVD's. The quality of the DVD can make a difference, graphics card will make a noticeable difference as will the resolution.

What program are you using to watching said DVD? PowerDVD, DivX, windows media player etc? Make sure your gpu is enabled within the program and all settings are to your liking.

Really the best thing to first do is post your PC's specs and program you're using then we can go from there.

Re: Watching DVDs on my computer... Question

Are other full screen applications and videos clear?

Make sure your screen resolution is set at its optimum for the equipment you have. Probably 1920 x 1080 for that setup.

Make sure that you're using the best quality cable for your adapter/monitor. Use DVI if available.

Try another player like this free one.

Still no luck?

Re: Watching DVDs on my computer... Question

Well when I watch videos on youtube in 1080p with fullscreen its stunning... maybe the DVD program isn't set to 1080p???

Is that something I could change in a set-up somewhere?
