I am almost out of H1000 for my 338 Lapua, so I ordered 32 pounds of WC857 as the burn rates are similar.

Just looking so see if anyone else has experimented with it and what your results were.

I might also play around with it in my .260, but it might be a tad slow for that.

Not sure about wc857 in your 338 lapua. But i have had a lot of success with wc867 @ 105.7 gr under 300 gr berger otm's and smk's. i am getting 3000 fps with a 27" tube in my 338 lapua mag.

Cool thanks man, WC857 is just a little faster than WC867. What kind of velocity spread are you seeing from high temps to low temps?

The load does speed up in heat and slow down in cool weather my sd from 30's and low 40's outside temp temp to low 80's outside temp was 15 fps when shooting in a temp spread of 10 degrees my sd is on average under 5 fps. Now i have found that with the wc867 it likes the heavier bullets that means yours might like the 250's or 285's but just guessing. The other things i have no psi issues with wc867 at 105.7 gr unless i try and jump bullets i have to seat on the lands with that much powder. Plus i need the case vol. that is a full case. If you ever try wc867 start at 101.5 or so and work up.
