Loretta Lynn, the Kentucky coal miner’s daughter who became a pillar of country music, has died. Lynn's family said she died Tuesday at her home in Tennessee.

I was a contractor at her ranch for several years ending about 10 years ago. We did most of the landscaping, including for her 50th anniversary in the Grand Ole Opry. Very cool place with a lot of history. RIP.
