Weight Kits

Hey all,

I was searching to see if this topic was discussed and seemed to only find for sale or wanted ads. I'm curious who has added weight kits to their chassis or stock systems. I have an XLR chassis for my 338LM and have been debating if adding weights to the rail will aid in stability. Like everything, kits aren't cheap and just curious if anyone has found value in the addition of a little extra weight.

it doesnt aid in 'stability' on its own. but will lessen recoil and make a rifle balance better

I have a roll of quarters inside the stock of my trap gun. Same thing, balance and recoil reduction. Pretty common for guys to pour lead shot in their stocks and cap it off with wax, something like that.

I was looking to add to the rail in hopes to lessen recoil on my gun. Just seems to hop more than I'd like. Thanks for the response guys.

My rifle weighs about 25-26 pounds fully loaded with a suppressor, shoots like a BB gun with .308

My CZ750 shoots like that. Heavy gun and great to shoot. The rifle I am looking at the weight kit has zero weight in the front and most is in the back where the stock is. Hoping weights calm it down a bit more. Its not horrible, but always looking to improve.
