OK just passed Constitutional carry and a liberal friend that lives there was bitching about the pending gunfights in the streets, I pointed out that I live in AZ where open carry has been legal since before statehood and we don't have any problems here, he went bonkers demanding proof so I dropped this on his FB page for all of his liberal friends to see.

I found data that breaks down firearms related murders (seperates out suicides) by state. AZ has 2.5 per 100k, CA has 3.3 per 100k, DE has 5.5 per 100k, DC has 18 per 100k, IL has 3.4 per 100k, MD has 4.7 per 100k, and NJ has 2.9 per 100k. These aren't the only states with rates higher than AZ but every state that I have listed is known for very restrictive gun laws and yet the correlation between restrictive gun laws and low firearm violence just isn't there despite what we are constantly being told. I assumed there was a correlation too until I did some research.

I'm not a giant fan of FB but it is a useful tool to counteract some of the bullshit.

Not to mention that Oklahoma, his home state, shows a rate of 3.8 gun murders per 100K people in 2015.

Remove the largest city out of each of your choices and see where the numbers fall.
Another fact to remind him of is these cities are concentrations of liberals.

Yeah, take Chicago out of the mix and where does Illinois rank?
While incomplete this is a sample of where the concentration of problems are.
