Wonder what they gonna name those cocksuckers. Probably fuckin Elian and Castro this time.
Hurricane names are all planned ahead of time working a rotating batch of six years worth of lists, and only replaced when a particularly devastating/deadly storm occurs. Some names on the list have been on there since they started naming storms since the 50s.

Yeah, cuz if we get to “W” it’s a fucked ip year for sure. I’m hoping “Karen” is looking for the manager and rolls her Cat5 ass through DC...
'05 was one of those years, when I got hit by Wilma in November. That was Katrina year too, way too many damn storms to keep track of.

For 2025, I really hope the Karen memes are still going if she shows up.

JEEZ, ever since the merger of Intellicast and Unerground, my weather forecasting ability is shot to shit! The stupid fuckers don't even show the two hurricanes converging on southern U.S. Shores. Sometimes I would like it if the SEC would bar certain "money making" mergers that don't give the public the information they need or deserve (for paying taxes for this).

A hurricane hitting Houston might cool north Texas off a little this time of year. I’ll take Houston for $25!!

not really. it hits houston and most of Texas is on the dry side and dont get shit. we need it to come to land just south of Corpus and stay together as a low wind storm all the way through Uvalde so we can get rain from Kingsville to Stephenville and everywhere in between and east.

Build a city close to sea level and it floods. Big surprise.

people who live in houston get pissed off when i tell them. "Houston is in a swamp. which is flat as can be. when it rains, it floods. sorry bout ya". Then there is all this nashing of teeth about development. well, yeah, that happens but it doesn't really matter much. your city is at the outfall of several major rivers.... San Jac, Brazos and Trinity. What else can you do?

just for giggles around the time after Harvey i did some quick and dirty slope calcs through houston. Its less than 0.5% slope from Conroe to Galveston Bay and Trinity Bay. Flat. FLAAAAAAAATTTT. and a swamp.

That's Houston, not New Orleans. Houston is NOT below sea level...

And, that's not storm surge. That's flash flooding from local rains. Parts of the Houston area got more than 60 inches of rain during Harvey...
Face it, Houston was built in a flood plain. It’s that simple. You do not have to be below sea level to be in a flood plain.

Yeah, I'm not denying facts. Houston is built on a plane. It is flat as fuck here. When the water gets here, it stays. The Brazos is a long, winding, slow moving river. It doesn't have to rain here for Houston to flood. Enough rain in Waco can cause flooding in Houston. I'm not saying, "boo hoo whaaaa." I'm just saying that most people think that 3-4 inches in 24 hours is a good rain. We got over 50" in 24 hours.

Anyone here have a 9 year old kid? Imagine rainfall that would cover your area up to the height of the top of their head. Got a swimming pool? Imagine rain that- without accounting for runoff- would fill it to a depth in excess of 4 feet.

For those of you that live in very cold climates, I found an interesting stat. First, I think that most people would say that 4 feet of snow in 24 hours is a pretty good dump. Well on average, according to the NOAA, 13 inches of snow is equal to 1 inch of rain. Niederland got 60.58 inches of rain during Harvey. So, in terms of total precipitation, imagine 65 and a half FEET of snow falling.

All y'all saying "man, I hope Houston gets a Hurricane. We could sure use an inch or 2 of rain." Fuck that...
