I want to give a shout out to Dave Sullivan at Westwind Rifles here in Colorado. He did some work on an M1A for me, bedded an M3A stock, pillar bedded the rear lug, some work on the gas system, and milled stock/installed a bipod rail up front. It is hard to find gunsmiths that will work on M1A's and actually know what they're doing. One of the cleanest bedding jobs I've seen on an M1A.
He invited me to his shop to help with the work. Obviously I accepted and spent all morning last Saturday helping him work on my rifle, which was really incredible. He took a lot of time to explain what/why he was doing and showed me some of the quirks of working on those rifles. Equally as much fun as shooting.
