Another possible explanation which does not negate anything else, but is also a very good possibility is that there may be some information as to operations / methods / locations / groups the CIA was using and may still be using & people in the past who may be connected to current people & they don't want to embarrass any of their friendly accomplices in countries south of the border.

The KISS principle does not apply to conspiracy theories because the intricacy of the plot is integral to the believability. Conspiracy theorists crave to make order out of chaos. It is much easier for them to believe that a grand cabal is pulling the global puppet strings than it is to believe that shitty random events happen for no reasonable explanation.

I dont think it conspiracy 'theory' when from the video shot that day, you clearly see his head go UP and BACK indicating a shot from in front and likely below (ie: storm sewer). To me that immediatly rules out 'One shootetr" and brings it right to

Suppose that Asset had children that followed their family's footsteps and their children's children? I have a number of pet peeves, but the incorrect use of the word theory is right near the top of the list. A theory is distinct from a hypothesis, which is essentially what someone means when they say something like "I have a theory..."

Hypothesis- Literally, without thesis. A guess. A hunch. A potentially plausible explanation to a question in the absence of observables or critical analysis.

A theory is a self supporting set of observables and theses (plural of thesis) that explain an initial observation.

To MtnCreek's point, the reaction of a creature's being hit by a bullet is much more than the effects of (m*v^2)/2. Animals really do strange things when they take a bullet to the head, but instantly flopping limp has not been my experience. There are more than 1 explanation to the unexpected head movement.
