What are the rules for selling ammo?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what are the rules, if any, of individuals selling ammo in the classifieds section? For some reason I though we weren't supposed to do that, but I see alot of people doing it on other boards......and obviously I have some handloads I need to get rid of.

Can someone inform me?

I see people selling ammo all the time in the sale section. If it is manufactured ammo, that's one thing. If you handload, then it becomes a whole different issue. I myself would not buy handload ammo from someone, unless I specifically asked that person to do the handload for me, or more specifically my gun. The problem with handload ammo is that it's not quite SAAMI specs, because it was tuned for your particular rifle. It might have worked for your rifle, but migh blow up in mine. That's the problem. My best recommendation for you is to pull them and to re-use the components if possible. Good luck with the sale.

You also need an 06 or 07 FFL to be selling ammo you make.

I seen it sold with the disclaimer "for components only".

If the purchaser chooses not to pull it apart, then they are using it at their own risk.
