what are these rifles worth now?

how much is a WWll Commemorative M1 Garand 1 of 1500 never fired and with all of the paper work,mags,sling and ammo that came with it when it was bought new
selling it for a friend and don't know what to ask for it was bought for 3800 about 15 or so years ago from springfield
they were going to make 2500 but only made 1500

Some of those type of rifles have a very limited market and this might not be the best place to inquire about the value. Suggest that you try the "Gun Traders Guide" for more information.

I'd say this is the wrong group to offer this to. We shoot everything we have! If you shoot this, you can cut the value in half! If you want to sell it for the price of a good Garand then it's probably worth around $800-$1000 as a shooter. Just offering my $0.02... Good luck.
