What are your thoughts on the new DD mk12

What do you guys think about the daniel defense mk12? If you own one or shot one did you like it?

The platform reminds me of the colt 6940 with a better aftermarket trigger.

It looks like a solid gun but after buying a quad rail upper, I find that I don't meet the extra weight nor that much rail space.

It looks like they are running around $2K.

As far as factory-built, out-of-the-box SPR's go, it's pretty neat...aside from the hideous stock and grip. Given that most can build EXACTLY what we want in an AR, the wow-factor is pretty much gone for us snobs. I love what this means for those up-and-comers that still buy stuff off the rack at actual store fronts...it's a great option for them at under $2k
