what base on savage 338 lapua HS model?

i recently picked up a savage 338 lapua with the hs precision stock. in looking at the stock egw base, it appears to be 0moa. is this true? the battery in my digital calipers is dead, but it really looks like a 0moa base. if so, do i need to put a 20 moa base on it? what brand is recommended? i plan on using this rifle well past 1000 yards. i haven't scoped it yet, but am looking at a night force nxs 5.5-22 x 56. does it have enough adjustment without a different base?
