Trying to mount NightForce 12-42 BR on Savage 12 F-t/r .308.
Had been using Ken Ferrell 15moa base and his standard rings but will not clear this new scope. I had borrowed the base/rings/scope of my 10fp and will put back when i get this figured out. I figure a 20-30moa base because the NF only has 20moa up. I will need tall enough rings to clear scope but do not care for an excessively high mount. Any suggestions? What are you savage shooters using with your big NF scopes?
