IMO everyone should have a 30-06, the 280 AI is a good choice, a 284 is up there as well.
If you were to order from the top down, I'd say
30-06
then one of the 7's out there. 7WSM or 284 or 280 AI, something in that flavor.
Something small and FAST like a 22-250 or a 204 Ruger or something like that. Don't underestimate how much fun a sub-caliber rifle with FAST little bullets can be.

How about 220 Swift set for 90gr Bergers.6x47L is a perfect case for 6mm bullets.284win in a long action throated for 180's.338 Norma throated for 300's or even a 375Cheytac.

I am having a 6mm dasher built. The Br's in any form are the shit!! They are such a joy to shoot! I also have a 22BR and man will that thing shoot. Its hard to explain until you own one in any form. Lee
