When I built this gun detachable mags weren't all that big. I went with the DD Ross bottom metal because at the time that's what the Marine Corps used, I was fresh out of the Corps and leaning toward their way still.
Since then I've cut the barrel to 20" and and threaded it, now i'm looking at bottom metal. Being as that metal is bigger than any std Remington metal I'm not sure what to replace it with. Anything close to that? I don't wanna go with filling the stock nad then redoing it as I don't think it'd really look right, and I'm not even sure I want to stick with the detachable but i want to try it
any ideas?
