just getting my new LR308 set up, ready to order dies and not sure what to use, I obviously have to FL size on a semi, I have always used Forster benchrest 2 die set for my other calibers/guns. do you like another die set or will these work fine???

Re: what dies for a semi?

I suggest a short base body die to insure proper function. If you bearly bump them you may get a few that you can't get out of the chamber without firing them -- seen this a matches many times. Most any brand should work -- I have had good luck with redding... but it is mearly a matter of personal preference.

I use the redding 'national match' 3 die set myself. Couldn't be happier. Comes with a taper die, but have enough neck tension that I haven't had to use the taper die.

Re: what dies for a semi?

I've used Lyman, Pacific, Reddding, RCBS and Lee and all seem to work fine in my semi's. In the last few years I've used Lee dies as I got tired of broken decapping pins.
