I was just wondering what hide members look for when purhasing a new rifle? I am about to finish an engineering degree and I was thinking about starting a rifle manufacturing company. I'm designing some stuff right now and i was wondering what features everyone looks for in a new rifle. Im trying to build the best off the shelf series of rifles for the money and I want your input.

Which market are you trying to take? The AW/TRG market or the 700/M10 market?
Most people would want consistency, ergonomics that worked for precision shooting techniques, ability to take common magazines, reliability in harsh conditions, ability to accept aftermarket parts, etc.
